Thirty-One Spring Catalog - Sneak Peek!!!

It feels like National Conference coming to the 'burg!!! We get to go to a MOVIE THEATER to see the Thirty-One Spring (Notice it doesn't say "Spring/Summer") Product Premier -- how cool is that!? I know we get to come home with ONE new catalog.... so if ya want to look at it expect to see my drool marks on it! I can't wait to see what surprise Home Office as for it's customers and consultants b/c every time I get a new catalog I think "Wow, this is the best catalog ever!"

Vault Denim in the house!!!

So I'm hosting a Vault Denim Party tomorrow eve 6-8 at my studio -- and in true Julia Fashion (no pun intended) I decided why not also be the consultant and make some extra cash while I'm at it.... hmmmm, this is sounding familiar. Anyway, I got to meet my SUPER NICE and super helpful sponsor & RC Stacy Clancy today as she loaned me the inventory. I had 5 tubs of jeans to unload and dive into. I was SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

Time for a New Do!

I'm a creature of habit, my hair is pretty much always the same unless I try a new stylist -- ya know someone once told me that and it's true if you want a "new do" you have to GO TO SOMEONE NEW! Man, would I love a cute little wedged-bob and if you have one you might find me staring wistfully at your head.

But my husband HATES short hair (even shoulder length has gotten questioned before.... "what happened to your hair" when I got a trim once) and I figure he looks at my hair and a lot more than I do so I should respect his opinion. As 2012, the year that is going to be a GREAT YEAR for me, approaches I am ready for a new do. So here is what I am thinking....

a Box makes my day!!!

So I pick up my mail today and what catches my eye at the post office –– could it BE??????? a long, flat rate priority mail box that looks as if Cindy Monroe designed it herself. You see I can stuff a LOT of thirty-one samples in a flat rate box but NEVER can I easily ship a Large Utility Tote... and this box is looking like the perfect size –– yup it is!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Post office, you may have slightly redeemed yourself for not getting Kendra Nagle's SD Promotion gift to her on time, I was pretty mad at you until today!

Oh my.... I stumbled upon this photo in my "old" love2bcreative blog and found it very amusing. My thirty-one business was a true "baby" at 6 mo. old. At the time that was ALL the thirty-one I owned.....

My Cute Camera Strap!

 

When I got my beloved Nikon D5100 I seached all over etsy.com for the perfect camera strap. There are a LOT of people who make them and well worth the $25 if you ask me! I am a firm believer in supporting other business women and their talents. I only found 2 sellers that had lens cap pockets on their straps and I liked the simplicity of this black & white fabric. The sample showed red with black stitching and I asked the seller if she could do hot pink "soft" side with hot pink stitching... ya know cause I'm addicted to 31 (colors)! Plus I needed it fast, in time for my National Conf. and guess what it came super fast just the way I asked! Check out Misty Days Boutique her stuff is REALLY cute!!! One thing to note. The lens cap falls out of the strap when you lift it to shoot, so I need to put some velco on it a much easier fix than my friend Stephanie Joseph who's cute "Sassy Sista" strap pocket is too small for her cap and it doesn't even fit in.

To UGG or not to UGG?

So this winter I was trying to decide to "UGG" or not... They were going to be a necessity when we thought we were buying a house that had 22+ feet of snow last year, but the move fell through and thus I couldn't justify spending $225 for the pair I really wanted! I settled for a pair of sketchers that were about $15 on sale and I really do like them! But I had a bunch of Gap Rewards cards I had to redeem --- I put the charges for my Thirty-One Parties on it for the people who pay me with cash/checks --- that were expiring today and I just so happened to have enough to get this pair of Uggs for FREE!!!!!!!! I got them at Athleta. I usually use my rewards at Piperlime but they don't sell them there. I am also hoping that by the time I get to wear them I feel as relaxed as this gal looks. Will my Uggs lead me to my place of Zen?
