My Cute Camera Strap!

 

When I got my beloved Nikon D5100 I seached all over etsy.com for the perfect camera strap. There are a LOT of people who make them and well worth the $25 if you ask me! I am a firm believer in supporting other business women and their talents. I only found 2 sellers that had lens cap pockets on their straps and I liked the simplicity of this black & white fabric. The sample showed red with black stitching and I asked the seller if she could do hot pink "soft" side with hot pink stitching... ya know cause I'm addicted to 31 (colors)! Plus I needed it fast, in time for my National Conf. and guess what it came super fast just the way I asked! Check out Misty Days Boutique her stuff is REALLY cute!!! One thing to note. The lens cap falls out of the strap when you lift it to shoot, so I need to put some velco on it a much easier fix than my friend Stephanie Joseph who's cute "Sassy Sista" strap pocket is too small for her cap and it doesn't even fit in.

To UGG or not to UGG?

So this winter I was trying to decide to "UGG" or not... They were going to be a necessity when we thought we were buying a house that had 22+ feet of snow last year, but the move fell through and thus I couldn't justify spending $225 for the pair I really wanted! I settled for a pair of sketchers that were about $15 on sale and I really do like them! But I had a bunch of Gap Rewards cards I had to redeem --- I put the charges for my Thirty-One Parties on it for the people who pay me with cash/checks --- that were expiring today and I just so happened to have enough to get this pair of Uggs for FREE!!!!!!!! I got them at Athleta. I usually use my rewards at Piperlime but they don't sell them there. I am also hoping that by the time I get to wear them I feel as relaxed as this gal looks. Will my Uggs lead me to my place of Zen?

I wanted a pink cover (note it is more magenta than shown in photo) for my iPad2. I wanted something to wrap over the edges and cover the front/back and be able to stand up when I am using it for recipes in the kitchen or slide shows at my Thirty-one parties. Coming with a car charger and screen protector for the price of $19.99 is a steal considering I had originally bought a shell that just covered the back for twice that. My only gripe is that I got dust on the adhesive when I put the screen protector on so now there are dust bubbles. I will have to get a new one in the future. Make sure you have a VERY clean surface before you begin. It fits perfectly, sometime I have to wiggle it slightly when I am taking a photo so it doesn't cover the viewfinder. Overall I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A FREE 2nd Honeymoon!

I was on pins and needles last thursday until I finally found out where we were going for my ALL EXPENSE PAID leadership retreat.... and then my bubble burst! It's the Moon Palace, the EXACT same resort we spent our honeymoon at 10.5 years ago!!!! I had finally gotten Tim to agree to go with me (he's not a tropical vacation kind of guy... my nick name for him is "arctic boy") and then we find out it's were we went for HM and really weren't planning on going back to for various reasons. I won't go into them b/c I appreciate the generosity Thirty-one has extended to us. So I shall look at it as a blessing.... I get to TAKE MY HUSBAND ON A 2ND HONEYMOON 2 weeks before our 11th anniversary and let him find out THERE ARE ABOUT 1,000 OTHER LADIES OUT THERE AS THIRTY-ONE OBSESSED as myself!!!!!!

Not only did I meet the goal for taking a guest with me I will have EXCEEDED it!!! So much better than a "desk job" when you work your tail off YOU GET REWARDED!!!!

Were are we going???????????????

I am bursting at the seems to know just where in the world we are going! Can you believe last year this time I wasn't even a Director a FREE VACATION was the furthest thing from my mind. This year I decided since I can go I will go and I set my goals and met them! And after my parties this month I will get to take someone with me.....who's that????????
